Client: Tier 1 Petroleum Corporation in India
What was the problem?
The client wanted a solution to educate their pan-India distributors’ and their staff on safety, delivery process, other operational procedures and the behavioral aspects.
Our Solution
The solution provided by us involved a where the learning modules are hosted on a central LMS server (cloud-based) and the users consume the contents through their mobile phones or via their desktops. Distributors can activate user ids of their staff and pay using a payment gateway interface.
Client provides us with the course contents specifying the user communities to which it should be enrolled. We publish it on the LMS server and the next moment the contents will be available to all enrolled users. An appropriate announcement is made to the user regarding the new content.
We regularly send status report to the client that would contain the user details and their learning statistics.
Following diagram shows the overall flow of the solution:
Project highlights:
- The system accessed by users in all 31 states across India.
- The LMS can be used to send circulars, announcements, push notifications to the distributor network of the company across the country
- Users have already consumed around 1800 hours of e-learning contents
- Hierarchy based user categories i.e., users at the higher category can view all contents assigned to users at the lower categories but not the other way round.
- Apart from the distributor community, the system is also being used by the officers of the company to communicate with their distributors and also to track their learning activities.
- System had about 10,000 users.
